Gentle Colonoscopy and Prophylactic Colonoscopy under Anaesthetic
Colonoscopy is one of the most important checkups ever and is recommended from the age of 50. Possibly even earlier in the case of positive family medical history.
We search for benign polyps in the intestine as part of the gentle colonoscopy. In many cases, benign polyps are precursors of malignant tumours or intestinal cancer. If polyps are actually found in the intestine during the colonoscopy, they can usually be removed immediately. This can prevent the development of colorectal cancer.
In addition, colonoscopy is one of the most important diagnostic tools for a variety of intestinal diseases.
We perform the colonoscopy with the patient under sedation. This makes the examination very gentle and barely noticeable for our patients.
